A guided tour of the Bautzner Strasse Memorial will give impressions of resistance in the GDR, followed by a look at the period from the 1990s to the present day.

The painters Klaus HähnerSpringmühl and Erich W. Hartzsch were important representatives of an independent nonconformist artist scene in East German KarlMarxStadt, which is now called Chem nitz.
ON THE ROAD – BICYCLE TOUR TO EXHIBITION OPENING

On the festival Saturday, the cinema seats will be swapped briefly for bicycle saddles. In order to catch a breath of the summer air bet ween the talks and film screenings, we are going to cycle together to the German Institute for Animated Film (DIAF) to visit its permanent exhibition and archive.
