Almost four and a half months later than planned, the 32 Filmfest Dresden took place from 8 to 13 September 2020. In addition to this, selected events of the section etc. - events.trainings.connections were also transmitted digitally. The prize money of the 9 Golden Horsemen and 5 special prizes increased this year to a value of 68,000 euros. Of the more than 17,200 festival visitors, audiences of 13,300 attended the live film screenings and events in its Dresden cinemas and venues. Over 3,900 people viewed the online transmissions of the awards ceremony, the panel discussions, talks and masterclasses on the festival website and via Facebook.
