Short Films Need Good Friends

FRIENDS OF FILMFEST DRESDEN

The FRIENDS OF FILMFEST DRESDEN supports the festival together with many further partners in bringing international filmmakers and young talents to the capital city of Saxony and presenting the highly diverse Panorama programme every year.

In addition to the promotion of short film and the desire to increase the awareness among the general public for this cinematic form, FILMFEST DRESDEN aims to establish a high-quality cultural programme in Dresden with an international reach and appeal. The festival views itself as more than just a specialist event, but also as a festival for the general public, one that gives the audiences and the filmmakers opportunities to have contacts, discussions and exchanges with each other. The focus of FILMFEST DRESDEN underscores the self-image of the city of Dresden as a metropolis of culture open to the world.
