Discover now: Children and Youth Programmes 2022

Also for the 34 FILMFEST DRESDEN (5 to 10 April 2022) we are happy to present you a great children's and youth programme!

The compilation of the film selection in 2022 took place again with the support of our Young Cutarors - a group of 29 young film enthusiasts from Dresden and the surrounding area. They watched and discussed many short films with us, selected and sorted them, and came up with programme titles and texts.

Five age-appropriate programmes now bring a breath of the wide world into the cinema during the festival week and provide the best entertainment. The content this time is about cohesion among each other (KIDS 1: Strong Together), we explore fantasy worlds (KIDS 2: Dream Ideas) or invite you to see the world through different eyes (YOUTH 1: Perspectives). During the festival week, the Young Trustees will present their favourites and, together with the cinema audience, ask the invited filmmakers questions.

In addition, our long-standing cooperation partner, the Fantasia animation school, will present the plasticine animation workshop "Ich knete mir die Welt" with the artist Robert Kuzniewski as well as the exhibition "Alles Knete - alles Trick" with the premiere of the workshop results.
