Our selection committees for FFDD26

Until 1st December, filmmakers are invited to submit their works for next year’s festival. While submissions are coming in, our selection committees for the International, National and Central German Competitions have already begun their first meetings. We’re delighted to welcome back many familiar faces – and equally excited about the new perspectives and fresh energy joining our teams this year.

In the International Competition, we are pleased to welcome a new member: producer and programmer Jason Ryle joins the selection team alongside Aleksandra Ławska, Hoda Taheri, Mackenzie Fincham, Vincent Förster, and Anne Gaschütz.

The National Competition is also gaining new expertise this year: visual anthropologist Sadaf Biglari joins the committee for the first time – a warm welcome! Continuing their valued work on the team are Steffi Karn, Christian Hempel, Petra Stipetić, and Mathias Barkhausen.

The Central German Selection Committee remains unchanged: Linda Kujawski, Olaf Held, and Sven Pötting are once again looking forward to discovering outstanding films from Saxony, Thuringia, and Saxony-Anhalt.

The first submissions are already being reviewed, and the final competition line-ups will be determined in January. Exciting and film-filled weeks lie ahead – and we can’t wait to present the selected films on the big screen at the 38 FILMFEST DRESDEN!
