Our selection committees for FFDD24

Since 1 September we have been receiving the new film submissions for the 36 FILMFEST DRESDEN 2024. Our selection committees for the International, National and Central German Competitions have already formed and are starting their first meetings.

The committee of the International Competition is unchanged compared to last year. Mackenzie Fincham, Vincent Förster, Ricardo Brunn, Anne Gaschütz and Tom Grimshaw are looking forward to the new cinematic discoveries.

For the National Competition, animator Petra Stipetić is screening for the first time. A warm welcome! Steffi Karn, Christian Hempel, Erik Lemke and Sylke Gottlebe, some of whom have been members for many years, continue to be part of the National Commission.

The Central German selection committee welcomes two new colleagues: Linda Kujawski and Olaf Held, together with Sven Pötting, are looking forward to strong films from Saxony, Thuringia and Saxony-Anhalt.

The first submissions are already being viewed and the final competitions will be decided in January. These will be exciting and film-filled months! At the 36 FILMFEST DRESDEN you can enjoy the programmes on the big screen.
