FFDD24 Flashbacks

Dreaming Utopia – from 16 to 21 April 2024 the 36 FILMFEST DRESDEN invited its audience to revel in their dreams and exchange their hopes, wishes and utopias in front of the projection screens. More than 370 films were screened in 17 Dresden locations and over 180 events brought together around 15,000 international visitors, industry guests as well as the local cinema aficionados.

Greta Markurt captured the six festival days with a selection of event impressions as well as interview parts with these guests:

- Total Refusal (pseudo-marxist media guerilla - curated FOCUS 1 and gave a live lecture)
- Nicolas Khabbaz (Artistic Director of Beirut Shorts/NDU International Film Festival – jury member for the International Competition)
- Tam Dan Vu (artistic director Travelling Distribution – curator of FOCUS QUÉBEC)
- Lydia Günther (student – Youth Jury member)
