FFDD23: Looking for young filmfans for jury & programming

Our preparations for the 35 FILMFEST DRESDEN 2023 have begun and once again we would like to call on young and adolescent film enthusiasts to get involved in shaping the festival. So if you can't get enough of films, like to talk to others about what you've seen and want to get an insight into what goes on at the festival, then look out:

Our Young Curators offers film fans from 5 to 18 years the opportunity to actively shape the film selection of the children's and youth programmes. Up to 20 children and young people screen the film submissions and select the children's and youth films for the official programme over three afternoons together with the festival programme directors. During the festival week from 18 to 23 April 2023 the young curators will then personally present the films to the audience together with the festival moderators.

In the youth jury, young people aged 16 to 21 can award their short film favourites with the "Golden Horsemen". In addition to the "adult" expert juries, the six jurors will screen the respective programmes of the national and international competition during the festival week from 18 to 23 April 2023 and select their winning films at the award ceremony on the big stage.
