FFDD23 Flashbacks

The 35 FILMFEST DRESDEN celebrated short films and their makers from 18 to 23 April 2023 – this year with the thematic focus on anti-racism. A total of 371 films were screened in 16 Dresden locations: 188 events brought film fans, industry and partners together.

This festival documentation by Greta Markurt captures the festival spirit with a selection of event impressions as well as interview parts with three guests:

• Nadia Denton (film curator, social impact producer and author - curated CINEMA DIGESTIF: BEYOND NOLLYWOOD)
• Niki Kohandel (filmmaker - her film was selected for FOCUS EXIT HAPPYLAND 3: FROM ANYWHERE)
• Yann Gonzalez (filmmaker - FFDD23 dedicated the TRIBUTE to his work)
