Call for Entry for FFDD26 is now open!

Submissions for the 38 FILMFEST DRESDEN (14–19 April 2026) are now open. As in previous years, please use www.shortfilmdepot.com to submit your films.

• We are looking for short fiction and animation films (up to 30 minutes) produced after 31 December 2023 for our International and National Competition programmes.
• Hybrid formats such as AnimaDoc, experimental, or documentary-style fiction films are also welcome.
• Experimental and documentary films can additionally be submitted to our Central German Competition (with a running time of up to 40 minutes) as well as to our Special Programmes.

A submission fee of €6 per entry applies (see our statement here). In addition, each submission requires a stamp on SHORTFILMDEPOT, which can be purchased individually or in packs of 5, 20, or 50.

Deadline: 1 December 2025!
