On the 2nd Sunday, we continue our Advent calendar with films from our Dreaming Utopia focus programmes of the 36 FILMFEST DRESDEN 2024..
We love cinema as an illusion machine and dream factory. It allows visions of a more beautiful and better world and provides food for thought on how these could be realised. The films selected for today use the theme of Afrofuturism to look at the creation of a fairer world, show post-capitalist mind games, explore video games as places of refuge and find beauty in the seemingly ugly.
