21. Dec.: Our programme on Short-Film Day


Short films on the shortest day of the year - With this year's focus theme "I see something you don't..." the 11th Short-Film Day takes places in Germany. The motto invites you to take in new perspectives and possibly question your own on the shortest day of the year. We have also prepared many great free events in Dresden. We would love to welcome you in case you are in town. Here is an overview:

Shop window cinema in Dresden Neustadt

WHAT TO EXPECT: a 30-minute short film walking tour (plus 50 minutes of film watching) - 6 films in 6 locations, plus a small quiz - whoever solves all the riddles will find the place where our team invites you to chat with mulled wine.
WHEN: 5 to 8 pm

Young Curators of FILMFEST DRESDEN present: We see what you don't see...

We - the Young Curators of FILMFEST DRESDEN - are a group of children and young people who love short films. For the SHORT FILM DAY 2022 we have rummaged through the FILMFEST DRESDEN archives and put together two programmes with international short films for you. Be curious about our film selection!

WHAT TO EXPECT: 2 programmes with short films, film talks and music
WHEN: 4pm and 6pm
WHERE: Club cinema in the Lingnerschloss, Bautzner Str. 132, 01099 Dresden

Programme Animation Stars

WHAT TO EXPECT: On the occasion of Short Film Day at the Dresden Kulturpalast we present a cheerful programme with children's film classics from the DEFA Studio for Animated Films Dresden and audience favourites from the festival. Programme running time 45 min., recommended for ages 4 and up
