And the Winner is...

The prize-winners of the 23rd Filmfest Dresden have now been selected. The Golden Horseman Animated Film in the International Competition was won by  the Canadian production La formation des nuages. The Golden Horseman Short Fiction Film and the Golden Horseman of the Audience in the International Competition went to L'accordeur from France. Likewise in the International Competition the Youth Jury gave a Golden Horseman to the Italian film Rita. The winners of the National Competition were A Lost and Found Box of Human Sensation (Golden Horseman Animated Film) and Viki Ficki (Golden Horseman Short Fiction Film and Golden Horseman of the Audience) and Yuri Lennon's Landing on Alpha 46 (Golden Horsemen of the Youth Jury). The production Radiostar was delighted to receive the Minister of Fine Arts Promotion Prize. The makers of Between Heaven and Earth took home the ARTE Short Film Prize from the broadcaster. The Golden Horseman Best Sound(scape) Award was won by Big Bang Big Boom from Italy. Go Bash! was awarded the Short Film Award of the German Film Critics. The National Jury gave special mentions to the actors Konrad Bohley (the Imagefilm) and Klaus Manchen (Seifert Is Dead). The films Rita, Love at First Sight, Les Journaux de Lipsett and the Log Jam series each received a special mention in the International Competition.
