9 & 10 September: "Discourse Europe: Bulgaria" in Berlin

Our "Discourse Europe" programme of the 34 FILMFEST DRESDEN 2022 will also receive a repetition screening. We are very happy about that!

This year's programme was dedicated to the country focus Bulgaria and showed two different film selections. The programme "Captions from a Social Metamorphosis" - curated by Bulgarian film critic and programme designer Mariana Hristova - takes a journey through the political and social upheavals in Bulgaria over the last three decades. The second programme was curated by Hristo Hristozov, programme director of Cinema House Sofia, and explores the notion of gender - masculinity, femininity, sexuality, identity - inspired by our 2022 festival focus.

Both programmes will be screened at Kino Central Berlin on 9 and 10 September thanks to the support of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin. Take the chance to experience these two fantastic programmes again!
