DESCRIPTION: The intention with this event is to explore how work is and can be represented in films. How do cinematic representations of specific worlds of work function\, and what can they actually achieve? Is it relevant in this regard that filmmakers often come from different sociocultural backgrounds to the people and contexts they depict? Are there areas of work that continue to remain hidden or are frequently depicted in a distorted manner? In any case\, there appears to be a relationship between the subject of work and the film medium that is as complex as it is closely interwoven. After all\, by no means is it only documentary formats that attempt to depict different realities of work on film. Likewise\, fictional film productions often strive to portray credible work environments.
