DESCRIPTION:With this programme\, I wanted to explore the cultural diversity through aesthetics and form to represent how Québec is so vast yet so singular in its creative energy. Although all these films explore different cultures and ideas\, the vibrating creative pulse of Québec’s singular artistry is woven throughout all these films. I was interested in aesthetics as a way to explore culture and perspective\, and this is why I called the programme “Shifted Horizons”. Usually we would only think about Québec cinema as French-Canadian cinema\, and I wanted to explore the depths and corners that aren’t necessarily always represented or shown together.\n\nHarley Chamandy
