The 22nd edition of Filmfest Dresden in 2010 ran from 20 to 25 April. From the 2,128 film entries, 31 films were nominated for the National Competition and 38 for the International Competition. In addition to the competition sections, the festival presented 25 special film programmes and an extensive events programme. One of the highlight of the 2010 festival was the awards ceremony in the Hellerau Festival Hall followed by the Film Ball.
